, or anteriorly concave, curvature of the thoracic region of the spine. A kyphosis angle over 40° - the 95th percentile value for young adults - is currently used to define hyperkyphosis.

Causes

In adults, osteoporosis is a common cause often involving several vertebrae. It can also happen post-trauma.
