per and hip hop artist, a founder of Perth
's hip hop scene and a member of the MC collective Syllabolix Crew (SBX for short). He died after a battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2009, generating huge support and charity drive to pay for his expenses.
Hunter emerged as a major artist in the 1990s as a battle MC. During his career, he released four albums. At the time of his death, he was working on a charity track in support of youth cancer organization CanTeen. The album Australian Hip Hop Supports CanTeen will be released before Christmas with tracks from Hunter, Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Downsyde, Koolism, Bias B, Hermitude and others
A documentary entitled Hunter: the Documentary was made about his career and battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Laura and his 5-year old son, Marley.
