Opening Narration

Synopsis

A genetically altered creature, of a species thought exterminated long ago, has returned to menace society in the near future. After four hikers are killed, a group of soldiers is dispatched to hunt down the creature but soon it becomes unclear who is hunting whom. At the end, Jeffrey Freed and his kind turn out to be cyborgs when it is revealed the "monster" called the "Kreetor" is really a human, the last remaining one who tries to get the cyborg to help his pregnant mate. The cyborg refuses, kills the monster, and leaves. Back at Jeffrey's house, he walks in, and says, "Unplug the baby. He needs some sleep." The story ends with his wife unplugging the baby.
