Pageant designed to raise money for Doernbecher Children's Hospital
. Every year, 12 senior boys are nominated and voted on by the senior class and teachers to compete in the pageant. The group works together to coordinate dance, talent, swimwear, casual wear, and formal wear portions of the competition. Contestants spend four months raising money individually and as groups. The contestant that brings in the most money receives the title of Mr. Hudson's Bay.
Mr. Hudson's Bay is part of a larger community service program at the school. Since the early 1990s, Hudson's Bay has consistently been a top donor to Doernbecher Children's Hospital through the Kids Making Miracles Program, having raised over $500,000 to date. The pageant is known for consistently breaking previous year records. The 2006 contestants raised $92,733.17. The 2007 contestants raised a total of $65,748.90, but a surprise donation of $72,965 on behalf of the Eleanor Copps Trust in the amount brought the total to $138,443.90 shattering 2006's record.

Training Program in 2004. - Gordon Patterson —Taught technology class at Hudson's Bay for a number of years. Mr. Patterson died in 2009 by a hit and run by a former Hudson's Bay student. Mr. Patterson was a well known teacher and the school was greatly affected by this tragedy.
