Hubert Perrodo was the creator, leader and owner of the oil group Perenco
.
He was born in 1944 in Larmor-Baden in Morbihan to a family of fishermen and died on December 29th, 2006, in a climbing accident in Courchevel.
He was the president of the independent oil group Perenco, which produced more than 240000 barrels (38,157 m³) of petrol per day.
Prominent art collector, and in particular of painting, he had started to gather a pretty collection of interesting works. Very good player of polo
, he won the tournament of the Queen (Queen's Cup), in 2004, with his Labégorce team.
He was also a large wine producer. At the time of a journey to the Château Giscours
