to the Sixty-fifth and to the six succeeding Congresses. He served from March 4, 1917 to March 3, 1931, but he was not a candidate for renomination in 1930. Due to deafness, he retired from legal and political activities and moved to Germantown, Tennessee
, where he engaged in nursery pursuits. He died on June 16, 1941 while on a visit to New York City
