Huchi'er was a general serving under Niu Fu
during the Han Dynasty

. He was not of Chinese origin, and some historians believe he may have come from a Slavic
background, although others assert it is much more probable that he was of Magyar, Hun or Persian
ancestry.

Lü Bu inquired into the matter, and when a follower told him the truth about slaying Niu Fu of Hu Chi'er, he put the traitor Hu Chi'er to death.
