Hrayr Shahinian
Encyclopedia
Dr. Hrayr Shahinian is a skull base surgeon and founder of the Skull Base Institute. He is a pioneer in microsurgical techniques of the brain. He pioneered new methods of introducing surgical microinstruments into the brain through the skull base to remove tumors and perform other neurosurgical procedures. He completed his undergraduate studies at the American University of Beirut
and completed his medical school at Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago
. He completed his residency at the Vanderbilt University
