Houma, Tongatapu is one of the famous village in Tonga. This village was one of the Territory of war in ages ago. In ages ago, the words HOUMA means when the people of the village were working hard to build something to protect them from their enemy they use shoulder to shoulder(Uma ki ho Uma) to pass the rock and bag of sand to build them a protector. That where the name of the village came from.
