Demographics

The enrollment is approximately 120 students from grades K-12, representing 13 nationalities. HAB students' country of origin range from South Korea, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and South Africa (the largest single group come from South Korea). Similarly, its teachers also come from a diverse range of countries, though the largest group come from the United States.

Academics

The school offers the following subjects for grades 1-12: Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Russian, Korean, ESL, Physical Education, Art, Music, Library, Computer Skills. The average class size is about 10 students per grade.

At the Secondary School Level, HAB offers a college preparatory program, including courses and curriculum that draw from the Advanced Placement (AP) and IGCSE exams.

Sports

HAB takes part in both the Central Asian Basketball Classic and the Central Asian Soccer Classic. They have placed in both the girls' and boys' competitions. Hope's mascot is the Falcon.

NEASC Accreditation

In 2009, Hope Academy began the process to become accredited with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges

(NEASC). A visiting team from NEASC came to the school in April 2011 in order to assess the school's self-study. HAB will find out the results of the NEASC's visit and its subsequent recommendation for accreditation sometime in the summer of 2011.
