The album was Morris's second most successful album (Shiver
being the first), peaking at number five in Australia, accrediting platinum by ARIA
and nominating Morris for the "Best Female Artist" for 1992. The singles released from Honeychild were successful in Australia
and New Zealand

"Break in the Weather" was released in September 1991 as the albums first single, becoming her most successful single to date peaking at number two in Australia and number five in New Zealand. "I've Had You" was released in December 1991 but was not a big hit only peaking at number thirty-nine in both Australia and New Zealand. "Zero" and "Crackerjack Man" were the third and fourth singles released from the album but failed to make an impact.
