Later, the school was moved to its location beside the Sto. Niño Church, where the Tondo Orphanage used to stand. The government began to recognize it as a legitimate school on February 22, 1951. The school became a corporation on October 23, 1954, under the name Holy Child Catholic School(HCCS). In 1955, HCCS was granted government recognition for complete secondary and kindergarten courses. Then, the school graduated its first high school students.

Directors

Rt. Msgr. Jose N. Jovellanos, who had helped establish the school and was the parish priest at the time, became its first director.

Most Rev. Amado H. Paulino, D.D. became the school's second director. During his term, HCCS celebrated its Ruby Jubilee.

Rev. Msgr. Pacifico Ma. Mendoza, who had served the school as Asstistant Director for ten years, succeeded Paulino to become the school's third director. During his term, HCCS had celebrated its fiftieth year of service as a Roman Catholic school in 1995. It was also during his time when HCCS reached the peek of its enrollment with 65,237 students.

The school's fourth director, Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel F. Sebastian, had the shortest term of only one school year (1996–97) but, like his predecessors, he was able to accomplish a great deal.

Sebastian was followed by Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel V. Sunga, who served the school for five years, from 1997-1998 to 2001-2002.

Rev. Fr. Enrique "Erick" Santos, the school's sixth director, who helped it celebrate its sixtieth anniversary in 2005. He served the school from 2002-2011.

The present director is Rev. Fr. Solomon A. Jardinero who will start his service on 2011.
