History

The Celts built an oppidum

 in Třísov about 200 BC and they left the place in the beginning of the 1st century being pushed out from here by migrating Germanic tribes. The walls and a gate of the Třísov oppidum have been partly preserved until today. In the 14th century the Dívčí kámen Castle (Maidenstein) was built close to here by the noble family of Rožmberk

). It is a castle with features of similarity with the castle in Český Krumlov. The castle has been in ruins since the 16th century. In the 19th century industrialization of Holubov starts. There was built an iron producing factory and railway.

Chair lift

The chair lift goes from Krásetín to the top of the Kleť mountain (German: Schöninger). The difference of altitudes between the lowest and highest point of the lift is 383 m and a ride lasts 15 minutes. On the top of the mountain there is a viewing tower built in 1825 by the noble family of Schwarzenberg
