The Village of Holland Patent is in the western part of the Town of Trenton
at the junction of Routes 274, 291, and 365.
The village is named after the original land grant, the Holland Patent, which formed part of the area of the Town of Trenton.
The Holland Patent Stone Churches Historic District
was listed on the National Register of Historic Places
in 1991. The Holland Patent Railroad Station
was listed in 2000.

In the village the population was spread out with 23.6% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
