Hinchley Wood School consists two sites next to each other. On one site is a Primary School, with pupils from the ages of four to eleven, and on the second site is a Secondary School with students from the ages of eleven to sixteen. The Secondary School also has a Sixth Form which runs various AS and A level subjects.

The school is situated in Hinchley Wood and takes students from the surrounding areas. The Primary school contains 420 students.

Hinchley Wood School has Music College specialism. The school is also well noted for its Jazz Band (Banda di Jazz) and Samba Bands and hold regular concerts.
