Het Filiaal' is a Dutch theater company, founded in 1994 by director Monique Corvers.

Gábor Tarján

Gábor Tarján was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1967. Four years later, he and his family fled to Canada. In 1990, Tarjan received a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance with Honours from the University of Toronto where his teachers included Russell Hartenberger and Robin Engelman of...

. The loving precision and sense of humour with which text, music, acting and visuals are then integrated, has come to be the trademark of Het Filiaal. In their productions, Corvers and Tarján greatly enjoy just touching on styles such as musical, world music, vaudeville or a classical concert, while maintaining their own unmistakable signature.
The company's work is highly appreciated by both adults and children. Het Filiaal gets rave reviews from the (national) press and is recognized and structurally supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture & Science, and by both the Province and City of Utrecht.
Het Filiaal creates various forms of music theatre for family audiences. The productions of Het Filiaal tour with great success not only in Dutch and Flemish theaters, but internationally as well, the group continues to receive much acclaim. Het Filiaal is its own producer
