As a child, Russo's father would neglect and abuse him. In a pivotal incident, Jigsaw beat Russo for letting a cat inside their house before pulling a gun on his mother and telling him that if he did not drown the cat he (Jigsaw) would shoot her. Russo did, and was left traumatised by this event.

Russo first met the Punisher at the age of eighteen, when the Punisher rescued Russo he had been badly beaten by the Sentry

. Russo took the Punisher to his secret hideout, where he told him that he has access to CCTV cameras all over New York City

, and that he wants to help him take down Norman Osborn. He also reveals that he was able to track Osborn's activities involving prostitution and drug running, but that he wants the Punisher to help him find the proof. Russo than assists the Punisher in taking down several criminal activities related to Osborn. Russo also assisted the Punisher in an attempt to take down Deadpool because they believed him to be responsible for an explosion which killed several innocent people. Russo also helped the Punisher and Anti-Venom take down an organised crime gang.

When the Punisher learns that Russo is Jigsaw's son, he abandons him and ends their partnership, despite Russo's hatred for his father.

After the Punisher's death at the hands of Daken

and his subsequent resurrection, the pair were reconciled. Russo then helped him track down villain Robert Hellsgard.

Powers and abilities

Russo possesses no superhuman powers or abilities, although he is extremely skilled at using and hacking computers.

Publication history

Russo first appeared in The Punisher, Issue 1, in March 2009, and has gone on to become a recurring character in that series, as well as appearing alongside the Punisher in other series, such as Anti-Venon and Deadpool: Suicide Kings.
