History
The bus station was developed at a proposed cost of £2m in mid-1994, coinciding with a major refurbishment of the adjacent Haymarket Shopping Centre complex.Facilities
The bus station is located next to the Haymarket Shopping Centre. There are some public toilets located next to Stand HC. The station has a takeaway called Food Stop At The Bus Stop, the First Leicester Travel Shop is located just inside the Haymarket Centre. Leicester Shopmobility is also located within the bus station where they provide mobility scooters or wheelchairs for elderly/disabled people. All stops have seating.Stands
All stands within the bus station have up to date large print timetables for departures from that specific stop. All stops are lettered with a H. There is an overview of the bus station near the toilets that has information on which services depart what stand and their main daytime frequencies and whom the service is operated by.
