The game follows along the same lines as the rest of the Harvest Moon series, in which the player takes on the role of a farmer
whose only goal in the game is to make a profit from the farm he runs. This includes producing crops and raising livestock. It is rumored to be either a sequel or an enhanced remake of Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland
. It will include marriage and more paths to save the homeland, and will feature Jack, the protagonist of Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland, to reappear in the game as well.

Upon arriving at the farm, Jack will nominate to pick up his grandfather's belongings. Jack encounters three "Harvest sprites" and the Harvest Goddess, who asks him to stay on the farm and help them.
The protagonist
must once again save the homeland by finding a way to save the village from being torn down to build into an amusement park called "Leisure Land". By choosing different paths, you can find up to 16 ways to save the homeland.
Rated the game a 7.5 saying "the controls can be frustrating at times" but "I had a hard time putting down Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley."
