Hannah Gruen

Hannah Gruen is a character in the popular Nancy Drew Mystery Stories
series. She is the Drews' housekeeper in River Heights, and treats Nancy as she would her own child. She is something of a mother figure to Nancy, and has worked for the Drews since the death of Nancy's mother. She cooks delicious meals and she always attends church. Although she knows that Nancy is very clever and can take care of herself, Hannah cannot help but worry about her safety. And Nancy, ever appreciative of Hannah's concern for her, takes Hannah's opinions into consideration, usually following her housekeeper's wise advice. Hannah is a very clever and brave woman in her own right, though. She has made homemade burglar alarms, and stands up courageously to intruders and other miscreants when Mr. Drew is not present. Hannah has proved herself invaluable to Nancy in many of her cases. She is a bit protective, but Nancy understands and values Hannah's opinion and advice. Monica Parker stars as her in the 2007 Nancy Drew movie alongside Emma Roberts.
