) in an orphanage.

All Ashok knows is that the suspect is a bearded man by the name of S. N. Sinha who was lurking near Meena's residence on the night of the murder, and all clues so far seem to be pointing an accusing finger at Kumar.

In a fit of haste, Kumar decides to run away from growing suspicion of Inspector Ashok, only to find himself more tangled. He finds a clue about the suspected killer from his home - a key with room number of a hotel. He visits the room as a last attempt to clear things before he is caught. There, he meets Captain Rajesh who calms him and tells him that none of them is the real killer. He tells Kumar that he is his wife's first husband and how he wanted her to acquire their illegitimate child (A baby girl who was conceived before Rajesh and Meena married and is now living in an orphanage) because she won't be able to raise a child born out of wedlock. It becomes further clear that the bearded man, by the name of S. N. Sinha, is Kumar himself who chose this disguise to find out why his wife is in a state of distress. The Police Officer (Ashok)suspects Kumar as the real murderer doubting that his wife (Meena) had illecit relations with somebody else, which continued even after her marriage with Kumar.

Captain Rajesh tells kumar that whoever is the killer, is seen well by Sarika because she was present in the room where Meena was murdered while both mother and daughter were playing and being shoot by a video camera. Also they find a video camera which was ON while the actual murder was performed. Together they embark on a journey to find the girl, eventually tracing her to Ooty. It is revealed that Meena was killed by a greedy man (Madan Puri) who had adopted the girl from orphanage as a means to blackmail his father-in-law (A Tea Estate owner) into paying Rs. 5 lac for selling girl to his father-in-law by falsely claiming that girl is his real granddaughter and how Meena's claim in owning the baby girl was interfering with his motive became the cause of her death. In the end however, in a clash Ashok kills the real murderer but the murderer succeeds in killing Capt Rajesh who was trying to save his own daughter (Sareeka). Kumar takes care of Meena & Rajesh's daughter. His play-partner also becomes his life partner.
