Hakin9 is a free, online, monthly publication on IT Security. The magazine is published in English and is available in the Internet as a free download.

Hakin9 is a source of advanced, practical guidelines regarding the latest hacking methods as well as the ways of securing systems, networks and applications.

Hakin9 is published by Software Press Sp.z.o.o that is a Poland-based company with many years experience in publishing magazines.

Hakin9 – Practical Protection is read mostly by IT Security managers, officers and trainees employed in large enterprises all over the world. The authors of hakin9 articles are experienced IT security experts who have worked in Information Technology Security business for years. One might then call hakin9 "A magazine for IT security professionals by IT security professionals".

Hakin9 team runs hakin9 portal where the information on the latest editions, IT security news and products is provided.

History of publication

Hakin9's first edition was released in 2005, then after a few-month-long break the real editing process started in September 2006.
