HaSharon Mall is the main mall in Netanya
. The mall was opened in 1989. At the time of its opening it was the third Shoping mall which was opened in Israel after the Dizengoff Center
and the Ayalon Mall
. The mall's trade area is 17,000 square meters and it includes 675 Parking Spaces. The mall was designed by the architect Avraham Yaski
.
In 2004 the mall added a new compound that contains 33 stores, and renovated the fast food area.
In 2007 the Alrov Group sold the mall to the "Malls of Israel" group. In 2009 a new expanision project was initiated which is expected to be completed in 2011.
During the 2000s the mall was exposed to 3 terrorist suicide bombings, which all occurred in the main entrance to the mall from Herzl Street, in which 14 people were killed in total.
