History

The club was founded in 2001, and in 2002 and took part in the Latvian Hockey League. Their affiliate, Hanza / Zemgale Jelgava participated in the Latvian Second League (Pirma Liga). In the 2002-03 season, the club took part in the Eastern European Hockey League
