Guaky is the official mascot for the 2007 Copa America
in Venezuela
. Guaky takes the form of a Scarlet Macaw
(sp. Guacamayo). The bird wears the classical burgundy shirt of all Venezuelan national sports team and its wings take the form of the Venezuelan flag. Guaky was designed by Jhoyling Zabaleta, a Caracas high schooler, whose winning entry was selected among approximately 4 million submissions of Venezuelan students.
