. The northern part of the line between Munich Isartalbahnhof and Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof was shut down on May 31, 1964. The southern section between Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof and Wolfratshausen was connected with the mainline of the state railway between Großhesselohe and Solln and on May 27, 1972 the station was included into the Munich S-Bahn. The station is called Isartalbahnhof to distinguish it from Großhesselohe Staatsbahnhof (State Railway station), located north of the current station on the line to Deisenhofen railway station
