 located in Grovedale, Victoria, a suburb in the city of Geelong. It was established in 1979 and as Grovedale Technical High School. Under the guidance of the founding principal Mr R "Roly" Arnup the new school prospered and developed a unique status at the time as a model of progressive education.

Grounds

The buildings at the school are separated into blocks. The campus however is now a complete school. Far removed from the portables of its early years.

There are four houses at Grovedale College. The four houses are:
  • Wingarra
  • Beringa
  • Coolabah
  • Kiley

Information technology

Grovedale College has had a Notebook Program for over 8 years. Students entering the College choose whether or not they wish to be in a notebook class, in which each student owns their own notebook computer and use these in most classes. Current year 10 students were allocated with notebooks for the three years until they graduate. At the end of their time with the school, notebooks must be returned.
