The species is listed, under the name Grevillea sp. aff. miqueliana (Mount Benambra), as "Vulnerable in Victoria" on the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment's Advisory List of Rare Or Threatened Plants In Victoria. It occurs on Mount Benambra in the Alpine National Park
