 plant, sanitary sewer collection system and a lift station to pump sewage to the treatment plant. The plant is rated at 40,000 gallons per day, and discharges its treated water to the Greens Fork River. The town is planning to construct a central water utility as of 2006. As of September 22, 2006 Greens Fork is no longer planning on constructing a central water utility. The town council could not convince enough residents to make connect to the system, making the rates too expensive for the town.

Origin of town name

The town of Greens Fork derives its name from the Greens Fork river on which it is situated. Both the river and the town get their name from a Delaware Indian
named Johnny Green.
