Greenpatch is located on Aboriginal Land within the Booderee National Park, an area which is leased back to the crown under a formal arrangement between the director of National Parks and the Wreck Bay Aboirginal Community Council (WBACC). It is within close proximity to HMAS Creswell

's whitest sand and is approximately 1.5 kilometre (0.93205910497471 mi) long. To the south of Greenpatch Beach are North Darling Point and Little Darling Beach (15 metres long). To the south of South Darling Point is North Darling Beach (1.2 kilometres), which transforms into a small patch of rocks called South Darling Beach.
