Geography

Greater Kailash (GK) has four zones, Part I, Part II, Part III and Part IV (newest).

Greater Kailash Part I has M-Block market which is considered to be one of the most popular markets in Delhi. It has a wide range of products brands and restaurants, and is home to famous brands such as Esprit, EDC, Giovani, Next, Sisley, Lee, Puma, Addidas, Reebok, Bizzare, Artileore, Lacoste, etc. The nearby N-Block market also has a host retail stores, including Fabindia

's first retail store opened in 1976, and many restaurants.

Greater Kailash Part I was developed in the early 1970s. Its development was followed by the development of the more acclaimed Greater Kailash Part II which has easy accessibility to Outer Ring Road of New Delhi.

Greater Kailash Part III was originally called Masjid Moth (separate from the one near South Extension). The name Greater Kailash III was added Masjid Moth (of GK) around 1983 and extends from outer ring road to Jahan Panah Park. Whereas the entry to GK-III was initially from Outer Ring Road for about 30 years, it has been closed of sometime in the last 10 years and the entry is now from what was called Savitri Cinema entrance after crossing GK Enclave-II on the side opposite former Savitri Complex.

Greater Kailash-IV is the latest addition to the GKs and includes what was previously known as Alaknanda (behind GK-II) consisting of mainly Flats named after rivers (eg Godavari, Yamuna etc).
