Great Houghton is an averaged sized village in the Borough of Northampton.
It lays right on the edge of the large market town, on the Bedford Road (A428).
The village has two pubs, a large village hall. and a hair and beauty salon, it has
however no longer got a village shop due to larger amenities being in close proximity.
The village is currently under threat by a large housing development which plans to build
over 18,000 properties in the surrounding area.
