. The term "weird writer" applies to a special group of authors who have established a strange legacy in American literary history. The Grand Order of Weird Writers was also developed to introduce a new genre as well. There are less than 25 American writers holding membership in the Grand Order of Weird Writers. http://www.weirdwriters.com Although they have published other books, each of these authors has written a hardback book in a series of books, known as the Weird US series, documenting folklore, oddities, unexplained phenomena and lost legends of the United States. The organization is also known as Weird Writers of America.
