Grand Hyatt Cairo
Encyclopedia
Located on Al-Roda Island, the Grand Nile Tower Hotel was built as Le Méridien Cairo. It was expanded with the addition of a 41 floor tower in 2003, when it was renamed the Grand Hyatt Cairo. The hotel has 714 rooms and includes a shopping mall and a rotating restaurant. It ceased to be managed by the Hyatt chain on March 20, 2011 due to unresolved contractual disputes with the hotel’s owner and is currently operated as an independent hotel.
