 (WAAPA). After commencing full time work at WAAPA as lecturer in Jazz piano in 2001, he was quickly promoted and became Head of The Jazz Department in 2005 and Program Director of Music in mid-2006.

The Ellington Jazz Club

In 2009 he opened The Ellington Jazz Club http://www.ellingtonjazz.com.au in Perth, Western Australia and this business has quickly become one of the most successful Jazz clubs in Australia featuring live music 7 nights a week. In the first year, the venue put on 520 shows and featured 2586 musicians.

Awards

In 2010 he won a WAMi award for best Jazz Act after playing more than 100 shows with the trio in 2009/2010.
