Sudden death

On 18 October 1975, just 3 months after his 34th birthday and departure from the cast of Coronation Street, Haberfield died from heart failure caused by a liver condition. He made two episodes that were shown posthumously. Granada offered to edit out his scenes but his widow, Valerie, insisted they be retained as a tribute.
