For the radio and commercial release of the single, Branch re-recorded vocals, and wrote a new instrumental arrangement for single release. The "radio edit" was more up-tempo, verse the "album version" which is more the style of a ballad.

The video's story is set in reverse and Branch has said that the format is supposed to be similar to the movie Memento. The video was directed by Francis Lawrence.
