Global Traveler is a monthly travel magazine published by FXExpress Publications. The magazine was founded in February 2004 and is aimed towards American executives who travel internationally and domestically in first- and business-class. It features news, articles, city guides, travel deals, travel blogs, hotels, golf courses, restaurants and airlines reviews.
Global Traveler hosts an annual charity auction with all the proceeds going to a charity. The charities that have worked with GT include Emmaus
, UNICEF, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Pencils for Kids, Inc., and The Mentor Foundation.
Throughout the year, Global Traveler publishes five supplemental books that are packaged with the magazine. Indulgence is a guide to luxury living. The Global City Guidebook is a comprehensive guide for information about cities around the globe and the Globility book is a supplement with a focus on a particular region or country. The Class Act supplement provides the reader with information about the premium-class cabins of airlines worldwide and the Corporate Guidebook is the GT guide to business and luxury travel.
Global Traveler also publishes an annual reader survey called the GT Tested Reader Survey Awards.
According to CEO Francis Gallagher, the average Global Traveler reader takes 30 round trip flights and earns $200,000 a year.
In August 2010, the magazine's editorial staff consisted of four employees, based in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Oregon.
