Glenvale is a district in Queensland

, that comprises part of greater Toowoomba
's western suburbs. During the 1990s and 2000s it was a hive of new construction, with new housing estates (developments) opening almost monthly.
Glenvale State School opened on 18 July 1882. The school currently has around 500 students. The original school building remains in use as the Resource Centre.
Significant factors in the move included lack of space, the need to rebuild run-down infrastructure, lack of space for camping and, of course, parking and noise problems for nearby residents. The new showground includes vast carparks, camping facilities, many buildings, a variety of function rooms and several large roofed spaces including the Cattle Pavilions and State Equestrian Centre. These facilities can be rented from the RASQ by community groups and commercial enterprises.
The RASQ Toowoomba Show has been at Glenvale since 1985.
The extensive facilities at the Showgrounds make up the Clive Berghofer Events Centre, named for local property developer and philanthropist, past Toowoomba Mayor & Member of State Parliament, Clive Berghofer

History
The area was first settled in the mid-19th century for the purposes of farming and grazing. The name was officially applied on 1 June 1981. From the early 1990s onwards, Glenvale experienced rapid growth.Public transport
Public transport in Glenvale is poor, being restricted to (slightly less than hourly) City Bus Route 2 services to and from the CBD via Clifford Gardens between around 8:40am and 3:00pm Monday to Friday.Education

RASQ Showground
The Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland has their offices and new Toowoomba Showgrounds at Glenvale. The showground was moved from the corner of Bridge and Mary Streets near the Queens Park reserve and City Botanic Gardens when it outgrew that site.Significant factors in the move included lack of space, the need to rebuild run-down infrastructure, lack of space for camping and, of course, parking and noise problems for nearby residents.
