s (pictured), the announcement was changed to: "The next station is Glendalough. Alight at Glendalough to transfer to bus services for Scarborough

." This was replaced with the opening of the Mandurah Line with the standard message, however, trains stopping at Glendalough still mention "Transfer here for Scarborough bus services." Glendalough is the only non-terminal station on any line to have an extended announcement of this type. This followed a public consultation period in late 2003 after Transperth and the State Government proposed to change the name of the station to Scarborough Beach Road Station. It was largely rejected by the community and the plan was abandoned.

From the Scarborough Beach Road entry point, two escalators, one lift and a stairway bring passengers to and from the platform.

Platforms

Two services of the Joondalup Line currently serve Glendalough station: all stations and W. C-pattern express trains do not stop at Glendalough. All stations trains run locally from Perth to Clarkson whilst W-pattern trains run local to Whitfords, skipping Greenwood station. Perth-bound trains operate every 10 minutes at all times; the same schedule applies to trains bound for Clarkson.
