. The Superintendent of the schools quit in mid year 2006-2007 to take a job in Pasadena. This prompted many students and teachers to quit also.

Consisting of three high schools (Gilroy High, Mt. Madonna High, and the newest addition, Christopher High), numerous and constantly shifting elementary schools (the oldest of which being Rucker Elementary), three middle schools (Brownell, Solorsono, and South Valley) and one early college academy (GECA).
