Later Gidi Gidi Maji Maji signed with the South African Gallo Record Company

Gidi Gidi said in an interview in 2009, that the group is having a break as both members of the duo are involved with other activities.

Their song "Ting Badi Malo" appeared on the The Rough Guide to the Music of Kenya compilation CD, released in 2004 by the Rough Guides
