Getaway is Australia's longest-running and most popular holiday and travel television programme. Debuting on 14 May 1992, it is currently broadcast on the Nine Network

A New Zealand version of the programme, with some local content, has previously been broadcast on TV One and Prime TV.

The first season initially only looked at only Australian resorts but by 1993 had expanded to look at overseas destinations.
