 east of Georgetown, the route continues east to Cuthbert

. The route then continues almost due east to Dawson, where it meets its eastern terminus at State Route 520. U.S. Route 82 continues east, cosigned with State Route 520.

Despite being signed as a U.S. Highway, outside of Georgetown and Cuthbert, State Route 50 sees an Average Annual Daily Traffic of less than 5,000 vehicles.
