George Bovell

George Bovell III is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Trinidad and Tobago
. He represented the country at the 2000

and 2008 Olympics
. At the 2004 Olympics
, he won a bronze medal in the men's 200 IM:the 9th medalist in the country's history and 12th medal overall. It was also the first-ever Olympic swimming medal for the country, and T&T's only medal from the 2004 Olympics.
Bovell was also credited with the Male Swimmer of the Year 2008 the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT).
Bovell carried the T&T flag at the opening ceremony of the 20th Central American and Caribbean Games
in Cartagena, Colombia
and at the Beijing Olympics 2008.
Prior to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing Bovell was training in the Florida Keys with the Race Club under the guidance of Mike Bottom. Currently, Bovell is back in Auburn training under Brett Hawke
