GeoPlace is an organisation that oversees the production and maintenance of the national address gazetteers, which are created and maintained with input from all local authorities
in England and Wales. It is joint owned by the Local Government Group and Ordnance Survey.
The National Land and Property Gazetteer
(NLPG) and the National Street Gazetteer
(NSG), which are overseen by GeoPlace, are being synchronised with address data from Ordnance Survey - Address Layer 2 (AL2)
