Gauri Shankar Chaturbhuj Bisen (born 1 January 1952) is a current cabinet minister in BJP ministry of Madhya Pradesh. He is a member of the 13th Vidhan Sabha of Madhya Pradesh
. He represents the Balaghat constituency of Madhya Pradesh
and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) political party.
Balaghat, Sagar University, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) .He has two daughter and wife Smt. Rekha Gaurishankar Bisen .His wife Smt. Rekha Gaurishankar Bisen is currently Chairperson of the Balaghat Jila Panchayat.
On 10 March 1985, Gaurishankar Bisen was elected to the 8th VIDHAN SABHA from the Balaghat Legislative Constituency of Madhya Pradesh.He has elected five times for the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly .He was elected to the 13th Vidhan Sabha Balaghat Legislative Constituency of Madhya Pradesh., with a margin of over 10,000 votes on 8 December 2008.In 1998 and 2004 he was elected to the 12th and 14 Lok Sabha (Lower House) from the Balaghat Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh. He became a Cabinet Minister under the MP Government headed by ShivRaj Singh on 20 December 2008.

Early life
Gauri Shanker Bisen is a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party. He is a son of late Chaturbhuj Bisen who belonged to farmer family. Educated at Jata Shankar Trivedi Post Graduate College,Balaghat, Sagar University, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) .He has two daughter and wife Smt. Rekha Gaurishankar Bisen .His wife Smt. Rekha Gaurishankar Bisen is currently Chairperson of the Balaghat Jila Panchayat.
Political career
In 1978-80 he was the Director of, (i) District Cooperative Bank, Balaghat 1978-80; and (ii) Land Development Bank, Balaghat.On 10 March 1985, Gaurishankar Bisen was elected to the 8th VIDHAN SABHA from the Balaghat Legislative Constituency of Madhya Pradesh.He has elected five times for the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly .He was elected to the 13th Vidhan Sabha Balaghat Legislative Constituency of Madhya Pradesh., with a margin of over 10,000 votes on 8 December 2008.In 1998 and 2004 he was elected to the 12th and 14 Lok Sabha (Lower House) from the Balaghat Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh. He became a Cabinet Minister under the MP Government headed by ShivRaj Singh on 20 December 2008.
