Bracknell is a town and civil parish in the Borough of Bracknell Forest in Berkshire, England. It lies to the south-east of Reading, southwest of Windsor and west of central London...

, England, it was formed in 1956 and is on the same site as Wick Hill Centre, a college linked with Garth. It was created as Garth Hill School (a Comprehensive) in September 1969 from an amalgamation of Wick Hill Secondary Modern School (opened 1956) and neighbouring Garth Grammar School (opened 1965), the name of the latter referring to a former local fox hunt.

Past students include Adrian Williams the former Reading and Wales footballer, who is currently a sports presenter with Radio Berkshire and Daniela Relph a Royal Affairs Correspondent with the BBC.

The current principal is Mr K G Grainger. Academic results have been steadily improved over the years.

Garth Hill College is undergoing a whole new re-build which is due to be completed in September 2010, providing the staff and pupils with a state of the art modern school, as part of the "Building Schools for the Future" scheme nationwide.

The current buildings will be demolished, making space for new sports grounds with some parts sold on.

The new school will involve a 'house' system, where every single pupil in the school will fall into a house. The house names are: Brownlow, Fielden, Haversham [Hd Mister Wood], Lawrence. These have been taken from the old housing system that GHC used to have.

The school employs a "BLP" system and follows the "CMCD" curriculum. This was adopted from America for use in UK schools and GHC is the first British school to use this.

GHC is a technology college, and it is compulsory for pupils to take one technology course, ranging from CAD to Food.
