Galion High School, is a secondary school located in Galion, Ohio

Settlers arrived in the area as early as 1817. The location was at the crossroads of a north-south road from Columbus to Portland , and the east-west route that later became the Lincoln Highway and subsequently the Harding Highway....

. It serves students ranging from grades 9-12. The school colors are blue and orange and the mascot is a Tiger. The current high school was first used in the 2007-2008 school year following the demolition of the Galion High School located on North Union Street.

New Galion High school

This building is located on Portland Way North opening in 2007 to replace the aging building that was on North Union Street which was demolished in the summer of 2008.

Old Galion High Schools

The first Galion Union High School was built in 1868 on the site of the former Galion Jr. High on West Walnut St. This building was demolished in 1924 and the new Jr. High was built on the site in 1925. The 1925 Jr. High was subsequently demolished in April 2008 and now an empty lot is all that is left of those two buildings. A second building was built in 1917 on the site of a former cemetery on North Union St. The North Union St. building was added onto in 1962 adding many nice new features such as a very large gymnasium. This building was in use from the time it was built until the 2006-2007 school year. Fall of 2007 marked the opening of the new Galion High School on Portland Way North. In the summer of 2008 the building on North Union St. was demolished.
