Gabriel Kugel was born on March 3rd, 1789. He was raised in Toronto, Canada. He was born to Thaddeus and Casey Kugel. At the young age of eight years old, he moved to modern day Bamf,it is here that he wrote his famous novel "Dread Scott the Pirate". The book went on to receive national critical acclaim, and won Kugel a Young Canadian Author of the Year Award in 1813.
